How To Prevent Your Home From Looking Unoccupied

http://www.munciepetsitter.comRecently we started a pet sitting job and these UPS notices were on the front door. I was a little shocked to say the least because I thought our clients were home on the dates listed. They weren’t. A friend of the family took care of the pets on those days and we were hired to only work the tail end of their trip.

Now I don’t know about you, but I don’t want to announce to the world that I’m away from my house for prolonged periods of time and as a pet sitter, I abide by that same standard.

Our clients hire us to take care of their pets AND their home. By leaving UPS notices on the door like this, that’s a red flag to potential burglars that this house might be unoccupied and I removed them immediately when I start any job.

We don’t let newspapers pile up outside, nor leave the mailbox filled with mail because those are all signs that someone might not be around.

Luckily everything was fine with our client’s home and their pets but I just want to reiterate the fact that when you hire sit-stay-play, we’ll be there everyday to remove notes from the mailman or UPS, collect your mail, turn on your lights, adjust your heat or air if requested. We’ll keep an eye on your property and of course take excellent care of your pets.

Our goal is to provide excellent care to your pets and to help keep your home secure. We’ll do our part to make your home look lived in while you’re away from home! Click this link to set up pet sitting or pet care services  with us!
