Despite public warnings about leaving pets outside during this winter snow storm, one Texas dog had no chance in surviving.
This polar vortex brought negative temperatures, heavy snowfall and blustery winds to many across the United States.
This helpless dog who made the headlines froze to death without proper shelter.
Please, if you’re reading this and have a neighbor, friend or family member with a pet or pets outside, urge them to bring them inside.
If they need assistance with straw, dog house, food, etc., call animal shelters, rescues or the local humane society.

After working as a full-time hairstylist for 11 years, Kelley decided to further her education. She graduated from Ball State University and immediately got a job working at a Muncie law firm working in estate law. While the work was important, she decided to spread her wings and do something more meaningful so she started her own business, sit-stay-play In-home pet sitting & more.LLC. In her capacity as a business owner, she wears many hats, although fedoras are her favorite. From marketing and human resource management, she does it all, including puppy cuddles and kitty visits. Her favorite part of running her own business is getting the opportunity to help people and their pets. In her spare time, you can find Kelley working in her garden, stand up paddle boarding with her dog, Berkley or rescuing and advocating for animals.
