Thanks to Hurricane Sandy, the last couple of days have been a whirlwind for residents, tourists, visitors, medical personnel, city workers, police and firemen and animal rescue workers such as HSUS (Humane Society of the United States), PETA, ASPCA, Best Friends and fellow pet sitters along the eastern seaboard.
You all deserve a big pat on the back, a huge hug and a vacation!
Nevertheless, thank you all for the work you’ve done, and still doing, and keep up the good work. I’m sure you’ve been discouraged and you’re emotionally and physically exhausted from pulling doubles and extra shifts. But the people and pets that you’re helping appreciate it and so do I.
Goodbye Hurricane Sandy, Superstorm Sandy, Frankenstorm, and whatever else you’ve been called, you’re NOT welcome here anymore.
